The Abundance Gathering

Something beautiful happens in a room when generous people gather together, open their hearts, and decide to share their resources for the common good.

It happened on Friday, September 19 when about 145 people came together at the Burnaby Lake Rowing Pavilion to share a meal and learn more about the Five & Two Network.

We heard stories of what is happening around the world through the network’s unique approach to community-centered development. Guest speakers included key leaders from India, Sam Panderla, and from DR Congo, John Fumana and Matondo Kunga. They each spoke of how their communities are being impacted and transformed by simple strategies that are focused on local resources and initiative.

The result of the gathering? Stronger community. Bigger vision. Deeper friendships. Generous giving.

A silent auction allowed many to purchase items in support of the network, and everyone was able to watch the new video “What’s In Your Hands” about the origins of the network and their growing impact globally.

For those who came, thank you. For those who want to come next time, stay tuned.
