Foundations of Community Centered Development
Embark on a self-guided learning journey that reimagines how real change takes root, starting from communities themselves. Through interactive content, real-world examples and reflective exercises, you'll explore the fundamentals of community-centered development and what makes local change truly sustainable.
Move at your own pace as you examine a range of development models-from top-down strategies to grassroots movements-building a practical framework that you can apply in your own setting. The course invites you to see communities not for their challenges, but for their strengths, potential and creativity.
You will also have the opportunity to connect with your peers during two check-in sessions - one in July and one in August - to exchange views, ask questions and reflect on how these ideas manifest in your context.
This is a flexible, reflective and action-oriented journey designed to spark new ways of thinking and doing community work, wherever you are.
"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful committed individuals can change the world. In fact, it's the only thing that ever has."
- Margaret Mead
